I live in an old house in the outskirts of the city of Philadelphia. I taught my first mixed media class at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. Then I taught in France with Elizabeth Messina. It’s been about 5 years since I began teaching encaustics and mixed media photography. I have visited many schools and colleges and shared techniques. I have taught at Tyler, University of the Arts, Lancaster Arts and even some high schools.
I have lectured and taught large groups as well as one on one. I feel fortunate to have people want to visit my studio and learn to use beeswax and oil to enhance their creative lives with photography. My studio is in an old factory building in my backyard and is fully equipped with encaustic supplies. I also travel and help people or small groups set up their own encaustic studios to complete larger bodies of work. Collaborating and teaching are my passions.
I welcome you to take a workshop or invite me to teach a workshop adding something new to your experiences and practices as an artist.
